Bonnieux is probably one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. Lying on a hill there is a wonderful view of the surrounding villages, the Mont Ventoux and in the Vaucluse mountains. The village is typicaly charming, but it is less marked than touristy places like Roussillon or Gordes. There are some very good restaurants and nice small hotels. The narrow streets invite you to a contemplative walk and shopping tour. Bonnieux is an ideal point to stay and starting trips into the Luberon. So it offers an ideal place for activities and excursions in the vicinity.

The Fournil, at the “mainstreet”, impresses with its marvellous meals and its wonderful patio.

Das Dorf ist wirklich sehr schön und nicht zu überlaufen. Lohnenswert finde ich besonders den Ausblick von der Vieille Église im oberen Teil des Dorfs. Man hat einen tollen Blick Richtung Plateau de Vaucluse.
